On the lawn of Tokyo Midtown, we designed “Ultra Light Orchestra,” a play area themed around the “sky” to be featured in a temporary park organised by GOLDWIN.
Thirty-seven transparent airbags of unique shapes and sizes, made from a collage of distinctive GOLDWIN clothing cut patterns, roll together to form a giant circle with a diameter of 12 meters when fully assembled. The airbags are lightly deflated and softly sway like jellies.
Jumping, bouncing, lying down, sitting, grasping, throwing, standing, squeezing, riding alone, or riding together—both adults and children can fully engage their minds and bodies as they play with the air. A scene unfolds like playing on a fluffy cloud, something that everyone may have dreamed of at least once.
